Fueled with Vision, Insight and Passion, NMicroVIP.ca is powered by Northern Micro, one of Canada’s top information technology (IT) solution providers. Although NMicroVIP.ca is a relatively new initiative as of 2013, Northern Micro is a long way from being new to online selling.

Since the year 2000, Northern Micro has maintained an eBay store that we recently renamed to NMicroVIP to match our new site.

5. Is this site secure?

Yes. When you shop with NMicroVIP.ca all of your personal information is encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption technology. In other words, your information is encoded as it makes its way to our server, which ensures that your information cannot be read by any third party. Once you begin the checkout process you will notice that the http:// in the URL will become https://, Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, which further confirms that our site is secure.

6. How can I pay for my order?

For your convenience, NMicroVIP currently accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Visa
  • Master Card
  • American Express
  • PayPal

7. When is my credit card charged?

Once you have completed the checkout process and have placed your order, a hold will be placed on your credit card. This reserves the funds needed to complete the transaction. Upon shipment, your card will be charged the total amount of your purchase.

8. When will I receive my order?

Once your order is placed, NMicroVIP will ship your order within the next business day, subject to available stock. Once your order leaves our warehouse, the shipping method you chose at checkout determines how quickly your order is delivered. If an item you have ordered is no longer in stock when the order is placed, our customer service team will communicate with you in order to set the correct expectations.

9. Can I track my order?

Yes. Our customer service team will contact you via email with instructions, as soon as your order is shipped and tracking information becomes available.

10. What does it mean if the condition of an item is refurbished?

Refurbished items are products that were returned to the manufacturer and cannot be sold as new. These products have been restored by the manufacturer to original specification and repackaged, following inspection. These items are NOT used and they are NOT returning from a lease.

Items qualify as refurbished if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • Customer Return
  • Cosmetic Damage
  • Demonstration Units
  • Open Box
  • Overstock Items

12. Am I limited to how many units I can purchase? 

NMicroVIP reserves the right to limit quantities sold.

13. How do you ship my order?

NMicroVIP offers a variety of shipping methods to meet your needs. During STEP 4: SHIPPING METHOD of the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to make your selection from the options listed below:

  • Pick up in store
  • Canada Post (options depend on destination)
  • UPS (options depend on destination)

*Delivery time is approximate from date of shipment

Additionally, you may notice that there are no standard shipping options available. This is because we are able to negotiate exceptionally low shipping rates with Canada Post and UPS, at no additional cost to you the customer.

14. How much does shipping cost?

Standard courier shipping rates apply.

15. Is international shipping available?

International shipping to the United Stated is available for refurbished stock only, unless otherwise indicated.

16. Can I use my company’s shipping account?

No.

17. Can I ship to a different address than my billing address?

Yes. During STEP 2: BILLING DETAILS of checkout, you will be asked to fill out all relevant details. If you wish to ship your order to an alternate address, you must uncheck the “I also want to ship to this address” box. Next, click “BILL TO THIS ADDRESS”, and proceed to STEP 3: SHIPPING DETAILS.

18. Will my purchase ship on the day I order?

Not always. If the order is placed after the various courier pickup deadlines, the order will ship the next business day, when in stock. If the order is no longer in stock when the order is placed, we will communicate with you to set the correct expectations.

19. Must the purchase be paid for prior to pick up?

Yes.

20. Where can I pick up my purchase?

Once you have paid for your order, you may pick up your purchase at the Northern Micro offices. We are located in the Hawthorne Business Park at 3155 Swansea Crescent Ottawa, ON K1G 3J3. We have plenty of free parking available in our parking lot. Please use our Customer Service Door to pick up your purchase, a map is provided below.

21. What days and hours can I pick up my purchase?

You may pick up your purchase from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time). Please note that we are closed on all statutory holidays. In order to decrease your wait time, we encourage you to let us know when you’re coming by prior to pick up. 23. Do you offer price protection?

No.  In an effort to offer the lowest price possible up front, we cannot offer price protection. 

24. How long does a credit take to be processed?

Depending on the method of payment, processing a credit could take four to six business days.
